What is an autoresponder?

In its simplest form, an autoresponder (sometimes called an infobot, mailbot, automailer or email responder) is a program that automatically sends a reply to any email address that requests information from the autoresponder.

In the case of Smart Autoresponder, this can be a single immediate reply, or a series of reply messages sent to a timetable that you determine.  Your messages can also be personalized and can carry up to 2MB of attachments - reports, brochures, software, pictures etc.
 

How easy is it to set up an autoresponder?

It's a very simple process to create an autoresponder using our menu system to lead you quickly through the process.

In addition, the system allows you create one autoresponder and then automatically create copies of that autoresponder if you need to.  If you have a 'team' or 'downline' you can also create autoresponders on your account for their use and then allow them to copy these across to their own account at the click of a button.
 

Can autoresponder messages be personalized?

Yes.  You can personalize both the subject and body of your follow-up messages using your subscribers name, and any other information that you collect on your subscription form.  Studies show clearly that the ability to personalize your follow-up messages is a powerful way to ensure that you get your reader's attention and can dramatically increase your sales.

In addition to using the personalization fields from your subscription form, our autoresponders also allow you to add Day and Date tags, which are particularly useful if, for example, you wish to advertise a time-limited offer.
 

How many follow-up messages can I have?

Each autoresponder (and you can set-up as many as you need) will send out an initial response and up to 51 further follow-up messages.
 

How long can my follow-up messages be?

There is no limit to the length of your follow-up messages.  If you feel that that a 20 page sales letter is what you need, then who are we to argue.
 

Can I add attachments to my messages?

Yes.  If you wish add an attachment (or a number of attachments) to a message then you can do so, as long as the your attachments do not exceed 2MB.  Attachments can be very useful for sending out software, brochures, reports, ebooks, graphics etc.
 

Can I control the timing of follow-up messages?

Your initial response message and your follow-up messages can be set to go out at whatever daily time intervals you choose.
 


How do I set-up my follow-up messages?

You can set-up and manage all of your follow-up messages directly in your browser through a simple to use management screen.

Message text can be typed in directly through your browser or, if you prefer, you can prepare your messages off-line using your favorite text(1) or HTML editor and then simply "cut and paste" them through your message editing screen.  Messages can also be uploaded directly from your PC.

(1)  Please be sure to use a Plain Text editor, such as Notepad or Wordpad, and NOT a word processing package, such as Word or Wordperfect.
 


Can I use HTML in my follow-up messages?

Yes.  Simply prepare your message in your favorite HTML editor as if it were a web page and then "cut and paste" the full page(2) into the message text box on your message editing screen, or upload it.

(2) Cut and Paste all of the HTML coding including the opening <HTML> and closing </HTML> tags.
 

How do I change the subject or text of my messages?

You can alter the subject and text of your messages at any time (24 hours a day) through your message editing screen.
 

Do people have to use a web form to request information?

No.  Information can be requested either through a web site form (hosted on your own web site or on our servers), or by simply sending a blank email to one of your autoresponders.
 

How easy is it to add a subscription form to my web site?

We've made this as simple as possible by providing the necessary page coding through your management screen to cut and paste into your own pages.

However, if you really want to make things simple, then our system will automatically create a subscription form for you on our own servers and will even allow you to customize this to match the "look and feel" of your own web site.
 

How do I know when someone requests information?

Every time somebody subscribes to one of your autoresponders you can, if you wish, receive notification by email.

In addition, you can select through your autoresponder management screen, to have us send you daily or weekly (every Monday) reports of new subscribers.
 

How can I find out who is on my mailing list?

You can view your mailing list at any time through your management screen and can also download the information for use in other programs.

Details of your mailing list include:

  • Subscribers in your follow-up "queue".
  • Subscribers who have received all of your follow-up messages.
  • Subscribers who have unsubscribed.
  • Subscribers who you have deleted.
  • Bad addresses that have automatically been deleted by the system.
     

How are people removed from my mailing list?

Our system automatically inserts a removal link at the end of each message allowing subscribers to remove themselves from your mailing list.

In addition, the system will generate a removal form for you that can be hosted on your own web site or on our servers.  You can also remove subscribers manually through your management screen.
 

Can I send broadcast messages to my mailing list?

Yes.  You can send broadcast messages to anyone on your opt-in mailing list at any time (24 hours a day) through your management screen.

Broadcast mailings can be sent to all of your subscribers or to just selected subscribers.  For example, you can mail just those subscribers who are still in your mailing queue or those who have already received your full message series.  In addition, you can further define those mailed by the data collected on your subscription form.  If, for example, you have asked your subscribers to indicate whether they are male of female, you can mail each group separately.
 

Are there any set-up fees?

No.  There is no charge for setting up your account.
